Just dipping in really quickly! I haven't abandoned the story! It's just been a stressful few weeks. Work is really busy and I've had sick pets, one of my older ones who still isn't doing very well and I've been working on turning one of my sort of hobbies into a side hustle, because, vet bills are no joke! Meanwhile, my gorgeous boys are very much not happy with me.

I hope you guys that may still be checking in are all doing well, and if I can just get through this month, hopefully things will settle down. One can dream!

Good God! This last couple weeks have been.... oh, what's the word? I should probably just say "uninspiring" and leave it at that. I won't go into those "uninspiring" bits too much that always seem to present themselves for me at this time of year, it's too depressing, so instead, let's talk fic! I'm just now getting my writing mojo back after the last couple crap weeks. In addition to the holiday I've been sick, something I've pretty much dodged all year, but thankfully I think I'm on the back side of that.

I've got a few ideas circulating about where I want to go with the next chapter, but it keeps changing a little on me, so I guess we'll all be surprised when I get around to deciding on a direction! It generally all just unfolds once I sit down to write, and I'm hoping to get back to it soon, I just haven't had the energy. I'm thinking there's a likely to definite chance that Jody's going to want to tie a certain new arrival in town into a literal knot and toss him off a cliff somewhere, and so he'll have to battle that inclination. Matt's still in a slight state of shock at seeing his old beau, but that doesn't mean he's not going to be suspicious of the man's sudden reappearance. I'm also realizing that after all this, Cody still hasn't met Jody, something that must be corrected! I wonder what his take on Matt's new guy will be? Hmm....

So lots of things to get into! Thanks for hanging in there with me. I'm looking forward to getting back to it, ;D

Just a quick pop-in! This past week has been fairly stressful, so much so that even my gorgeous, delectable boys haven't even been able to tempt me to do any writing, but slowly things are sorting out. The next chapter is about half written, and maybe sooooomeday we'll actually get Jody and Matt to their actual date, and right now I've a couple somewhat petulant boys on my hands. Lol. Certain characters are demanding entrance into Angels that were supposed to wait until the next installment, so there's a few unresolved items darting around that may change my mind on a couple things ...or maybe not. I'll just let it take it's course as it will.

Either way, I'm hoping to post this weekend, but that's no guarantee!

Also, can't remember if I'd dropped this anywhere, but the next installment will (probably-maybe-likely) be titled: Coming Home Cold.
