The excerpt is real, the rest are all lies.

~*~
The distant solo violin had broken into a dance, a dance for which there was a name but I couldn’t recall it, a country dance which always carries with it in any land some warning of the destruction inherent in abandon. Not turning away, only releasing me a little, and looking over his shoulder, he spoke.

Violin--Ann Rice

~*~
Someone up the windswept beach was playing a violin, the notes wavering, like a warning. Sean wondered why that was, but the thought went no farther, as Viggo held him, kissed him with rough edged tenderness and the music blurred with the wind, was nearly lost.

Viggo wanted his surrender in the moonlight, wanted him again and Sean knew he couldn’t refuse. He feared being so owned, so addicted, yet when Viggo laid hands on him, Sean discarded his fears and yielded...again. The violin’s song faded, its warning lost, unheeded. Sean withered beneath Viggo, who whispered dark, beautiful promises.

Very haunting, very poignant. I just love this, Sean providing what Viggo needs, in spite of his own needs. Addiction, perfect description of the two of them, for Vig is equally addicted.

Thank you very much for the feedback! I like to think of them as addicted to each other. ;)

Oh, they are, they are! And may they never find a 12 Step program!

Love your use of the violin's song as a metaphor for Sean's thoughts. Very evocative and beautiful.

Fitting in the violin song without it seeming out of place had me stuck for a while. I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for reading, :)

wow. So beautifully atmospheric. I enjoyed it tremendously. I saw blue in front of me, even though I usually don't imagine colours when reading. But this had a very haunted, unreal, almost ethereal feel to it, and, for me, the colour blue ;D.

thanks for sharing

I'm very happy to hear that you saw those things, and that you saw blue because, well, that's just kinda cool. Thanks for reading and taking a moment for feedbacking, ;)
