Sean isn’t beautiful. Beautiful is an overused word, about as useful to Viggo as the tragically common ‘nice’. Sean isn’t ‘nice’ either, especially when he’s flat on his back under Viggo, bare skin glowing in the warm lamplight, vulnerable to the bite of Viggo’s teeth, the scrape of his blunt nails.

Viggo could fill the sky with all the things Sean isn’t, and drawing his hands over Sean’s chest, following the curve and curl of muscle and sinew, Viggo knows he will spend the rest of his life cataloging all the things Sean is.

Viggo starts with: Sean is his.

There is something of the philosopher in your Viggo, but mostly it is a curiosity about life combined with the fierce joy of loving that drives him to try to define what his lover 'is'.

I'm glad you enjoyed this. Solid is definitely how Vig feels about Sean, I'm pleased you came away with that because this isn't about putting a nice, neat label on what Sean is to Viggo, but really just exploring the fact that Sean is his. *g*

Isn't it funny how things we read in one fandom leap into other fandoms? There's so much great SGA fic - I was hanging out over there myself for a year or two - so I heartily encourage you in that direction! Time really is a strange thing. I feel like we were all just here with VigBean but it was something like 7 or 8 years ago. Wow.

Yeah, I'm crushing on McShep at the moment - I had no idea there was such a wealth of well written fic out there! It just figures it's only now that the show's off and the fandom seems to be slowing that I get interested - but McShep feels like it's going to be a long time love, I'm glad there's a lot out there.

So many have drifted out of VigBean, it's a little sad. I still have a folder full of fic ideas that I'd like to get written (and Sean is pretty much the only celebrity that makes me giggle giddily like a 12-year old with her first crush everytime I see him on screen) so I think I'll stick around for quite some time and molest him in fic and enjoy the VigBean. *g*

I love the progression, here, from what Sean isn't to what he is. I love the way Viggo discards "common" words, and I love that really wonderful primal image of Sean bare and under Viggo. And that gorgeous last line is so very, very powerful. I also really love the way it isn't just a progression from isn't to is, but that the "is" also resides in "his." Really lovely!
