I'm of two mind about Atlantis. On the one hand, I liked it reasonably well, until they killed off all the lovely supporting charcters, from Peter Grodin to Dr. Beckett. On the other hand, it has become such a pile of crap in later seasons that I'm not sure I'll miss it at all.
Besides, I never liked Sheppard and Weir, but if they had to replace someone, it shouldn't have been Weir - it should have been Sheppard. *g*
I actually loved the show, but I'll agree, the killing off of Beckett just made no sense...and then to bring him back the way they did just seemed silly. The writers really seemed to lose their way, sad, as I thought the show had lots of potential to last a long time.
I didn't mind Weir, and I didn't like what they eventually did with her. I loved Sheppard and McKay, and there wasn't any regulars on the I actively disliked. I think they just decided that instead of fixing the show they'd just axe it to make room for their Stargate: Universe project. ;|
