Summer morning sunshine gilded Sean in gold, and the hair at the nape his neck dripped sweat. His shirt stretched taut across the lean back each time he reached, uprooted a weed. Viggo stared, the glass of lemonade he held forgotten.

Sean grinned, and Viggo finally asked, “Thirsty?”

“Bloody right.”

Viggo kneeled, lifted the glass, took a mouthful of lemonade. Sean watched, face flushed from gardening, from a sudden understanding. Viggo tugged him close, sealed their mouths together. Lemonade flowed forth, cool, sugary, tart.

Swallowing, Sean asked softly, “More?”

Viggo growled, pushed Sean to the grass, and quenched his thirst.
