Am I the last person on the planet to see ROTK?

Finally caught it, and enjoyed it more than I expected. It's certainly a stunning movie visually. (Eagles! Beacons!) I've decided I love Theoden, Éowyn rocks, Sam is my hero and I want a Merry&Pip for my very own. Nothing against Legolas, but I'm glad the amazing acrobatic elf tricks were kept to a minimum, didn't care at all for what was done with Denethor, wasn't *enough* Faramir, I want to live in Minas Tirith...and if I were to choose choosing between ranger!Aragorn and King!Aragorn I was sure it'd be ranger every time, until now... *g*

How sad is it that my absolute favorite moment of the movie was the three second flash of Boromir? *sigh* note to self: write Boromir fluff soon Would have *loved* to actually see Boromir in his city.

Bad news: unlike ROTK, doesn't look like Master & Commander will be returning to our local cinemas. wails Good news: may get a chance to take in Hidalgo today! And word is that Joaquin Phoenix will be starring in another M.Night Shyamalan film, The Village to be released in July. Mmm.

In other news, and I don't even follow basketball but did catch the end of the surprising Alabama/Stanford game yesterday, and Ala. being my home state....Go Bama! Hoo-rah! "Nobody really believed in us. But we believed in ourselves," -Ala. player Pettway :)

And according to thecompleatseanbean there will be a Bean sighting on 'Switched Up' today. It airs on the ABCFamily channel at 6:00 Central standard time today. Have no idea what kind of program Switched Up is but, happy drooling! ;)

One more random thought for today: why isn't there more Sharpe slash?!

Would have *loved* to actually see Boromir in his city.
Ooh, yes! You know that first shot of Gandalf and Pippin seeing Minas Tirith from afar? And it's so beautiful, with the flight of birds across the plain and the sunlight and the gorgeous white walls... I kept thinking that that was Boromir's city, the city he loved so much, and what wouldn't I give to have just one brief scene of him in its streets? Or in the throne room, or in the Courtyard, or.. *sigh*

Ahem. Long inarticulate rambling to say: 'me, too'. ;)

And yes, yes, please write Boromir fluff! *bribes you with bribe of your choice*

Oh, yes I recall the shot, the beauty shot, I've heard them called. It was so gorgeous and I thought the same thing, *bounce* that *this* is what Boromir loved and fought for all his life. It was almost like he was there, because I found it so easy to imagine him in the city, it was just so *him*....and I could go on and on.

No problem, long ramblings where Boromir are involved are welcome! ;) I think Minas Tirith alone was the main reason I did like ROTK so much better than TTT. excuse me as I get all sappy

oooo....am not hard to please, V/S, A/B, Sharpe will all do nicely. *G* Have had an odd thought...does JohnnyDepp/SBean fic somehow exist? Mmmmm or JD/SB/VM? *am dead* I don't know if you remember 'In Dreams' but I desperately want to do a sequel to it, but just can't get rolling on it. Arg.
