to prove I still remember how to do this. A mini-ficlet, for today. It's too short to be a proper ficlet, and too long to be a drabble but Aragorn said post it and I always do what Aragorn says.

“Then you are overconfident.”

“No, I merely see the truth of things.”

“And that is?”

“That I want you, in my bed, by my side. That you need me as much as I need you. That none other holds your heart for there has been none other strong enough to keep you.”

“Until now?”

“Yes, Boromir.”

“Aragorn, I-”

“Hush. Tomorrow we will speak of the rest, tonight, my heart, tonight is for claiming.”

“Aragorn...Yes.”

“I know. Come, Boromir, let your King tend to his Steward.”
