Drabble
I have this nagging feeling that I've posted this before, but looking back at my journal I suppose I didn't...if somehow you've seen this before, apologies, if not then here's a little Faramir angst for this, the first day of spring....and here I was planning to post spring flower pic spam! ;)
Title: Beating Heart
Pairing: Boromir/Faramir
Rating: PG
Summary: Would you have my words, brother, if I dared speak them?
Disclaimer: I did not own these characters, nor did I create them, I’ve only borrowed them to make this drabble.
Feedback: welcomed and appreciated
~^~~*~~^~
Would you have my words, brother, if I dared speak them? Might you return them, or turn from them in shame? Even though I’ve followed you all my life I know not what you might do, and so I say nothing. To be near you requires the full sum of courage and resources of my beating heart, as I must conceal with clever words and cleverer excuses the truth of my desires. That truth is that I would gladly break myself upon you, your hands, your lips.
My words hold themselves still and I break, piece by piece, upon you.

That's it exactly! It always amazes me that people can get such a complex relationship across in 100 words. Well done.

This is lovely! You've captured the doubt so well. The more I read it, the more it feels like a song or poem. Very, very well done!
