SO YEAH, the rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
SO YEAH, the rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated, or in other words, life has been absolute ************ (insert swear words of your choice here) ************
Imma gonna keep this short, and sweet, because who wants to be depressed anymore than they have to? Heh! It's been a shit few months. Combined with work, and sick kitties, and the side hustle I've started to help out with the vet bills that were coming about every week, I'm sad to say my best friend, love of my life, my dearest darling senior kitty passed away. I'd started her with a new vet that was taking a different approach to her many issues and thought we were getting somewhere, but she took a bad turn and I just couldn't let it go on. I'm absolutely devastated. Absolutely. In the mean time, the world doesn't stop, this I already knew from having lost...let's just a a LOT over the span of the last 15 years or so, but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with.
So let's not talk about that anymore, right now.
BOYS! And YES I am working, still, on this long, winding, meandering fic of mine. I've been thinking of my boys a lot, lately, and finally have found the urge to write begin to stir. In fact, the next chapter is about 85% done, though this has been complicated by the fact that I spilled drink on my laptop keyboard and so now the letter M, along with the period, comma and question mark have all stopped working. Because, I mean, of course! Geeezzzz. Do you know how FRUSTRATING it is to try and write and then having to go back and copy/past those characters in, one by one? Anyway, in desperation I was about to shell out for a new laptop (which I need anyway) but I tried just buying a wireless keyboard and yay, it worked! So instead of going in the hole another few hundred I've gotten around this problem for about $20. God, I wish all things were so easily solved.
Anyway, just a quick update. I swore to myself the next time I posted it would be with, oh, you know...fic! But I just thought I'd throw this out for anyone who may be still checking things out over here. So, an actual chapter should be up soonish. I would say today but I keep tinkering with the chapter and making it longer and such, so I'll just say...soonish. Hope everyone is well!
