Yeah, I've wondered about that too. I'm just playing fast and loose with the duty shifts and, well, pretty much all of it! Just making things fit my narrative. I can't really see them having someone at the station 24 hours a day, every single day, I don't think they could sustain that with so few people, but who knows! I don't think the show really thought it out too much, either, ;-D It would've been interesting to know more about all those aspects! I tend to see them pulling 24-hours shifts in emergency times, or really busy times of the year.
Oh, God! Jody would shredRob Roy at the slightest provocation, I think. (I don't know why I keep wanting to call him Rob) It would be glorious! I really do need to re-watch that now to see if any ideas come to mind! :-D
The space in the story that (originally) Roy was going to have has since been taken over by the as-yet-unseen ex, Jonathan. But yeah, I gotta think some more on Roy, maybe he could figure in somewhere, or in a later fic. Every time I think things are winding to a close (in my head) with these boys, another idea pops up, not that I'm complaining! I'm thoroughly enjoying them, ;)
