Oh, I just have to note, I don't think I realized that in HMR the knee issue was a real thing for Christian, but I definitely recall the basketball scene and the brace from Jesse Hawkes and wondered if that was from a real life problem. I don't remember reading anywhere that he actually blew his knee out, but there's not a lot of info out there on Christian or HMR as far as I can tell. Interesting! Some new info for me, that's always useful! I haven't watched those JH episodes, but did cruise through some (Matt) scenes before I started writing Bad Luck, Bad Guys and High Mountain Rangers (gah! why did I chose such a long title? lol). The washout ep, and the one where Matt almost dies from hypothermia after they have to set the chopper down (sorry can't remember the ep title) were my favorites!
OMG the tight pants! Can we acknowledge that outfit? The boots, leggings, black leather jacket and gloves? I'm not sure if that was very applicable to search/rescue work, but boy did it get my attention, lol! (Note: this is what Matt's wearing when he sees Jody again, woot!) I love that all the rangers were always coordinating and wearing the same outfit on the show, :D
I don't have as quite a clear a vision for the sequel as I did the first installment, so I'm looking forward to finding out what unfolds! I won't be surprised at more Matt H/C because, well, reasons. Matt has an ex-boyfriend that very much wants to insert himself (no pun intended!)...mmm so many possibilities! And I very much want to at some point bring Roy back from the Washout ep!
