Starbuck groaned as the twisted metal pinioning him to the deck pressed down on his booted feet with crushing force.
“Oh, frack!”
In a moment Apollo was beside him.
“You’ll have to find help.”
Apollo brushed sweaty hair back from Starbuck’s bruised face. “Galactica may have received our message. I won’t leave you here to- I won’t, Starbuck.”
“You will.”
“No.”
“You have to! Apollo,” Starbuck took a labored breath, “you’re not leaving me, you’re saving me.”
“Be here when I get back, Star. I mean it.”
Apollo climbed out of the ruined ship into the bright daylight, and ran.
